And now for something completely different!

Welcome back, fellow travelers!  On this trip, we're heading to a new destination and, instead of our usual getting lost on unfamiliar roads, we’ll be rolling down a river.   We’ll leave the map reading and navigating to the captain and crew as we take a river cruise in Russia.

After a few days in St. Petersburg, we’ll meander on a variety of rivers, canals and lakes, visiting several towns, islands and small cities before reaching Moscow, where we’ll spend several days at the end of the cruise.

To have a better look at Tom's photos, just click on any one in a post to enlarge it and see other thumbnails, which you can scroll through to enlarge.

As always, apologies in advance for the typos and cringe-inducing grammatical errors you're sure to find.  This time, I'll blame them on the challenges of writing after a long day and the effects of the local vodka!

If by any chance you have already jumped through the hoops required to secure a visa to enter (and exit!) Russia, grab your suitcase and meet us on the sun deck!
